A Monday Recovery
I’m not really sure how I should go about posting about this, but I feel an obligation to chronicle this in my blog, as well as telling my readers. For some reason, people seem to get upset when you don’t tell them about undergoing surgery. So as you guessed it, I’m having surgery this Monday (18th) to have four of my wisdom teeth removed, two of which are impacted.
I’ll mention that this is in no way a “large deal” a “commotion” or a “much to do”. It’s a simple operation that takes about half an hour, with a recovery I hope to sleep off.
That being said, I do hope to Twitter up to the last minute, and as soon as I can post-op to let everyone know how things went. And please, as much I appreciate people sharing stories with me about their own oral surgery experiences, I don’t really give a shit. I’ve already heard every variation of what to ice, and where, so please don’t chime in on that subject. Otherwise, you’re free to write me a get well, or not, I won’t be offended at all.
And really, now that I’ve thought about it, I’ve written about this for a few reasons. One, it’s seemed to help ease my mind about the whole thing. This is my first ever surgery, so just talking about it helps. I’m not very nervous about anything, it’s just in the back of my mind. Secondly, this is my first every surgery, so I felt it needed a place in my blog. Plus, this’ll mark the first time I’ve ever been under anesthesia or used any heavy pain medication. (which I hope to use as little of as I can) But so far, my biggest worry is that it’ll upset my time schedule for donating blood. So, I’ll most likely write more about this, and possibly a whole post on Monday when I’m sitting around with nothing to do.
Be well!

Dude, believe me, after the surgery, ice down the second to last toe on your left foot. Works wonders.
I didn’t think wisdom tooth surgery was that bad. Sure, I was woozy and sleepy and in some pain for a couple of days, but I think you’re right to not be very worried about it. Hope it goes well, though!
Good luck. The closest thing I had to a surgery was a testicular cancer test.
